What's on the site
An interactive colour wheel that shows which tone cancels which, a level selector that shows the warmth lightening uncovers, and plain guides to hair colour levels, undertones, toning, lightening, grey coverage, dye types and colour care.
How the guides are written
The guides are based on standard colour theory and the general principles that hair colour brands publish in their own shade charts and instructions. Where details differ between brands, such as shade numbering or developer advice, we say so and point you back to the product's own instructions, which always take priority.
What we are not
We're not a salon, a hair colour brand or a medical service, and we can't see your hair. We don't sell products and there are no partner links on this site. Nothing here is medical advice. If you have a reaction to any hair product, stop using it and speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
The tools and your privacy
The colour wheel and level selector run entirely in your browser. Nothing you select is sent anywhere. See the privacy policy for the details.
